Get your green on and hit the ground running! Our Leprechaun Dash 5K is a fun, festive run/walk for all ages and abilities! Whether you’re chasing a personal best, jogging with friends, or strolling in your favorite green gear, this event is all about community, movement, and a little luck.
Race registration is $25 for adults and $10 for youth (ages 6-17).
Information
• Date: Saturday, March 14, 2026
• Time: Race begins at 9am
• Check In: 8am-8:45am
• Location: Barbey Maritime Center (2042 Marine Dr, Astoria)
• Ages: All ages (see below for information relating to wheelchairs and strollers)
• Cost: $25.00 per adult, $10.00 per youth (ages 6-17)*
• *Children 5 and younger with an accompanying adult can participate for free
• Time Record: A race clock will be provided; participants will be responsible for recognizing and recording their own race time
• Prizes & Giveaways: All runners participating in the race will receive a small participation token; top finishers from each age group will win a prize basket; 4 gold coins will be placed along the route to be redeemed for a prize at the finish line
• Shirts: The first 100 runners will receive themed race shirts and bonus festive gear
Rules & Regulations
• Participants will receive a race bag at check-in prior to race start, including a bib to be worn on the front of the participant’s running attire.
• Persons wishing to participate in a wheelchair or with a child in a stroller are responsible for assessing the feasibility and safety of the race course on their own. Wheelchairs and strollers may not be recommended for some events.
• Participants may not bring any weapons, or replica weapons, as part of their costume.
• Participants accept full responsibility for any damage or loss to costumes that may occur during the race.
• Participants must stay within the course boundaries and are responsible for recognizing and understanding event signage and symbols relating to maps, facilities, and directions.
• Dogs are welcome but must abide by the following: must be up to date on their rabies vaccination; must be on a 6ft leash or shorter, must not be a female in heat. Owners are responsible for picking up and discarding of waste. Owners are not to let their dog approach another dog without permission from the owner.
• Failure to follow policies as outlined may result in immediate disqualification from the event, loss of prizes, and/or ban from future events.
